Tata India, new project spied from various places in India, which has been internally codenamed as the Kite. The Tata Kite probably replacement of Tata Indica hatchback.

The Tata Kite hatchback will go on sale with newly developed engines. The petrol variant of the upcoming car could get a 1.2-litre, four-pot motor with a maximum power of around 75 hp and a peak torque of 120 Nm. Claimed fuel efficiency could be in the region of 20 km/l. The diesel variant, on the other hand, is expected to get a new 1.05-litre, three-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 64 hp and peak torque of 142 Nm. Both the motors could get an automated manual transmission (AMT) along with a standard five-speed manual gearbox.
