The Vitara Brezza Boosterjet is expected to get power from the same 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which will be available in Baleno RS as well. This engine in the upcoming SUV will be able to churn out 110 bhp of peak power and 170 Nm of peak torque. The outgoing Vitara Brezza diesel delivers 24.3 kmpl of fuel efficiency, which in case of the upcoming Vitara Brezza Boosterjet is likely to be more than that.
On the design front, the Vitara Brezza Boosterjet will be identical to the current model, which means only the badge will be different. The Vitara Brezza comes with a very attractive design, which is aggressive and stylish. The front fascia sports projector headlamps with integrated bullhorn LED daytime running lights. The H shaped thick chrome finished bar at the front grille enhances the car’s appeal. Also, the large air intake, a massive bumper, clamshell bonnet, skid plate altogether give this car an eye catching look. At the side profile, the SUV gets side body cladding, sporty multi-spoke alloy wheels, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, dual-tone body paint scheme. The integrated roof spoiler, two-piece taillights, thick chrome handle bar at the tailgate, and a skid plate gives it a muscular look. The SUV comes with an impressive 198 mm of ground clearance. Maruti Suzuki claims, this car gets the Suzuki TECT high-tensile steel body structure, which offers better protection to the occupants during impact. Interior of the SUV is pretty attractive. It sports a multifunction steering wheel, cockpit style instrument cluster with mood lighting, a SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay.

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio Cross was showcased at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo in February. It is a small crossover based on the Celerio hatchback.  The Celerio Cross will add zing to the model. The crossover looks like the regular hatchback, but little design tweaks have played vital role in enhancing its style quotient. It gets headlamps similar to the regular model, while the front grille appears with matte black colour scheme. Apart from that, the revised front bumper and large matte black coloured horizontally slated air intake gives it a muscular look. At the side profile, the car comes with black capped mirrors with integrated turn indicators, side body cladding. It could get new design alloy wheels, which will make the car more attractive. At rear, the roof spoiler further adds sportiness to the small hatchback. Dimensionally, it comes similar to the regular model. Interior of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio Cross gets a black theme. It is expected to get a multifunction steering wheel, analog dials and digital MID consisting instrument cluster. A touchscreen infotainment system would be nice to get an upmarket vibe inside the cabin, while the seat and upholstery material quality of the Celerio Cross will surely come much more improved than the regular model. Powertrain for this car is expected to remain same like the regular model.

Maruti Suzuki is preparing the next-generation Swift, which is expected to reach the showrooms in the country sometime in late 2017. Globally, the car will be unveiled in March next year. In India, it will be manufactured at the company’s Gujarat plant.

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is based on the Baleno’s platform. This lightweight and rigid platform improves the car’s fuel efficiency. The upcoming 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with an aggressive and sportier design, compared to the outgoing model. But despite the exterior design change, it can be instantly recognized as the ‘Swift’.

The upcoming Swift features a new large front grille, new design sharper headlamps with LED daytime running lights. The air intake has become larger than its predecessor, while the fog lamp areas also come different looking. At the side profile, the blackened A and B pillar comes along with a darkened C pillar, which altogether deliver the car a stylish look. The floating roof design certainly enhances the hatchback’s appeal further. Rear fascia of the 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift gets integrated roof spoiler, compact taillights, a revised rear bumper and push-through twin chrome tipped exhausts. Interior of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift also gets changes. It comes with a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, large dual-pod instrument cluster with a digital MID, circular AC vents. The cabin will also receive contrast fabric stitching, improved seat and upholstery material. Dual airbags are supposed to come as standard safety feature across the variants for the car. It could also offer extra space adding on comfort.

The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift is likely to get a 1.0-litre turbocharged Boosterjet petrol engine, while a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine will be there. The existing 1.2-litre K-series petrol engine could retain same power and torque output of 83 bhp and 115 Nm respectively. On the other hand, the 1.3-litre diesel engine generates 74 bhp of peak power at 4000 rpm and 190 Nm of peak torque at 2000 rpm. Transmission duty will be done by a manual gearbox and an AMT as well.

The new Swift Dzire comes with revised headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. The front grille and front bumper also come revised. It looks more aggressive with the new grille, while the side and rear profile of the car is also expected to come with refreshed appearance. The side profile could boast new design alloy wheels. The rear fascia of the compact sedan could get new taillights, while the rear bumper of the car is also likely to get a change. Inside the cabin, 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire will come with a refreshed look. It gets new multifunction steering wheel, redesigned dual-pod instrument cluster with a digital MID, a SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay. The dashboard will come with a new appearance. It will sport circular AC vents, while seat and upholstery materials are to be improved.

The Ignis micro-SUV is going to be the entry level crossover from the Indo-Japanese automaker and, it will be sold through the Nexa dealerships. Upon its launch, the Ignis will lock horn with the Mahindra KUV100. This micro-SUV features an unique design, which is compact, boxy and stylish. As the new-generation urban customers look for a combination of attractive design, sportiness, premium features and power in single package, while purchasing cars; the Ignis delivers all of these. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ignis gets an interesting looking front fascia. The headlamps with LED daytime running lights and the front grille are designed in such manner, which portray them like a single unit. The front grille gets sleek chrome trims, while the front bumper comes muscular with large air intake and chrome finishing around fog lamps. At the side profile, the car sports flared wheel arches, sporty black alloy wheels, blackened A and B pillar. Power source for the Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be a 1.2-litre four-cylinder VVT K-series petrol engine shared with Swift. This engine is capable to churn out 84 bhp of peak power and 115 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the Ignis also gets a 1.3-litre diesel engine with SHVS technology. This engine can generate 74 bhp of peak power and 190 Nm of peak torque. For transmission duty, it gets a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT as well. The petrol engine is capable to return 22 kmpl of fuel efficiency, while the diesel engine delivers 27 kmpl.

The Baleno premium hatchback has already become very popular in Indian market. Sold through the Nexa dealerships, alongside the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Baleno is one of the bestselling models in India from the Indo-Japanese automaker. Now inspired with the success of this car, the automaker is preparing to launch a performance oriented version of the hatchback, which will be christened as the Baleno RS. In the domestic market, new-generation customers are showing interest toward premium cars rather than just a medium of transportation. Also, the demands for performance oriented cars in the country are increasing. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS will target those customers, who seek high performance and premium quality in same package; and that too at an affordable pricing. The hatchback is expected to launch in India sometime in early next year.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS is likely to come wearing the similar design like its regular sibling. But a few changes could be seen to make it look sportier than the standard model. It could come with a revised front bumper and tweaked grille as well. Apart from that, the alloy wheel design could be different; while a roof spoiler at rear will be a nice touch. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS will get a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine under the hood. Despite being a smaller unit than the regular model’s 1.2-litre unit, it can churn out 109 bhp of peak power and 170 Nm of peak torque. The 1.2-litre engine in the regular model produces 84 bhp of peak power and 115 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duty in Baleno RS will be done by a 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission as well. The AT variant will get paddle shifter. Expect the car to deliver around 24 kmpl of fuel efficiency.

Suzuki unveiled the new S-Cross facelift earlier this year in Hungary. Later the car was showcased at 2016 Paris Motor Show in September. The facelifted version of this crossover is expected to launch in Indian market sometime in late 2017. The current S-Cross was launched in domestic market in August last year. Demand for the compact SUVs and crossovers are very high in India. Now with the facelift version, the Maruti Suzuki wants to boost the sales of this model. The 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross comes sporting a more aggressive appearance. It gets a completely new front fascia, which gets a new radiator grille with vertical slats and plenty of chrome garnishing. Also, it features new sweptback headlamps with chrome detailing and LED daytime running lights. The front bumper looks massive and bold with large air intake, revised fog lamp area with chrome detailing. The side and rear profile of the facelifted S-Cross remains unchanged. Not only the exterior, but interior of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki facelift will also sport changes. Expect the interior to come featuring new colour scheme, an updated instrument cluster and added dashboard trims. Apart from that, it will come with a multifunction steering wheel, a hexagonal centre console with a SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system. Also, it could get dual-zone climate control, auto dimming rear view mirror, rain sensing wiper, reverse parking camera etc.

To enhance the appeal of the cabin, Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer improved quality seat and upholstery material inside the upcoming S-Cross facelift. Dimensionally, the facelift version comes with similar length, width and height like the current model. Only the ground clearance has been changed to 180 mm from 165 mm. Any change in cabin space is unlikely. Upon its launch, the facelifted S-Cross will be sold through the Nexa dealerships like its predecessor. On the powertrain front, the current S-Cross is sold with a 1.3-litre DDiS 200 and a 1.6-litre DDiS 320 engine. The 2017 S-Cross could come with a 1.0-litre petrol engine or a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. On diesel front the 1.3-litre could be discontinued. The smaller petrol unit can churn out 109 bhp of peak power and 170 Nm of peak torque, while the turbocharged 1.4-litre unit is capable to produce 138 bhp of peak power and 220 Nm of peak torque. The 1.6-litre diesel unit pumps out 118 bhp of peak power and 320 Nm of peak torque.

Maruti Suzuki working on a facelift version of the Ciaz sedan. This car will launch in the domestic market in April next year. Expect it to come featuring significant design updates and more premium features inside the cabin. The powertrain could also get an update. Among the exterior changes, the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ciaz could get a new front grille and HID projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. Apart from that, the fog lamp enclosure and front bumper is also likely to don a revised appearance, while the new design alloy wheels would make it visually more appealing. We can also expect the taillights to get a new look. So far, the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is likely to don a more sharp and stylish look than the current model. The top-end variants of the upcoming 2017 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is supposed to get a sunroof, which will undoubtedly give a more premium touch to the sedan. The interior could sport an all-black theme, which is certainly going to add on zing to this car. Also, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a sunroof could be there. Expect the seat and upholstery materials to come updated. Currently, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sedan takes power from a 1.4-litre petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic gearbox, which is available in upper variants. It churns out 91 bhp of peak power and 130 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is a 1.3-litre unit, combined with SHVS mild-hybrid technology. Mated to a 5-speed MT, this engine kicks out 89 bhp of peak power and 200 Nm of peak torque. We can see the introduction of the SHVS tech to the petrol engine, while a 1.6-litre diesel unit could be introduced as well.
